Psalm 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever...

What a beautiful way for David to end Psalm 23! He started the psalm with The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want...

And he closes the psalm with absolute confidence and assurance that God pursues him -- at all times, in all seasons of your life and through all circumstances!

In one of the commentaries, this was the more complete explanation:

·       In Psalm 23:6, the word "all" (from the Hebrew word kol) means "each," "every," or "the complete total". When David writes "all the days of my life," he means without exception. It is a promise of constant, uninterrupted divine grace. 

·       Unceasing Presence: It means every single day—whether you are experiencing a "green pasture" or the "valley of the shadow of death"—God's goodness and mercy are guaranteed to be actively following (or actively pursuing) you. 

·       No Exceptions: It serves as a guarantee that there is no day in your life where you will operate completely outside of God's steadfast love and care. 

·       Hebrew Context: Translated from the original Hebrew word kāl, it establishes totality, leaving no gaps for moments of abandonment or seasons missed by God's grace. 

I pray that you will take the time to reflect upon the depth of the truth communicated in that one three-letter word, ALL!
