Not A Piece of Peace, But the Whole Peace
Isaiah 26:3
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
We've started the month of October with a dive into our theme verse: Isaiah 26:3. What is God's perfect peace? What is Shalom Shalom? How do we keep our mind stay on God? How do we trust Him in the dailyness of life?
When things are out of control, we lose peace. And that means we lose peace quite often. God is waiting until we are completely exhausted and then He invades our lives and introduces His Shalom Shalom. The word 'stay' means to keep guard. God wants us to keep guard of what our mind dwells on. Are we dwelling on God or our circumstances?
Linda used STAY to help us remember:
S = STOP
T = TELL God
A = ACKNOWLEDGE who He is
Y = YIELD to God
God is the One who is truly in control. He is our faithful God.
We need His peace! We need the Person who is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
