Living in His Presence through Acts

Acts 4: 31

And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.

The first point from last week about living in His presence was: Take every opportunity to share, to be a witness!

And this week, we looked at the rest of Acts 4 and added three more points:

  • Take a stand.

  • Take our concerns to God.

  • Live in radical community.

Like Daniel, we live in "Babylon". As followers of Jesus, we need to have convictions or else the world around us will color us 'gray'. The basis of our resolves must come from God's word. So, what are your convictions?

Like the Apostles, we also need to go to God with all our cares. We know He is sovereign and we affirm who He is when we pray. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed it be Thy name! So, who do you go to when you face difficulties?

Like the New Testament Body of Believers, we should have one heart and soul with our church family. That's what radical community is, especially as we see the Day drawying near. Be intentional about gathering together. Be intentional about connecting with others. So, when do you gather with other believers?

It is amazing that we have the Holy Spirit dwelling with us, empowering us to share the beauty of the Good News. We are His witnesses in "Babylon" for there is salvation in no other name but in the name of Jesus!
