Living in His Presence through Acts
Acts 4: 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness. The first point from last week about living in His presence was: Take every opportunity to share, to be a witness! And this week, we looked at the rest of Acts 4 and added three more points: Take a stand. Take our concerns to God. Live in radical community. Like Daniel, we live in "B

Living in His Presence through ACTS
What does it mean to live in God's presence? For what purpose did Jesus give us the Holy Spirit? When reading the book of Acts, we often focus on the miracles of the lames being healed or jail doors being opened or chains falling. But the real focus of the book of Acts (with the coming of the Holy Spirit) is for us to receive power so that we can be witnesses! That's the MAIN EVENT! That's living in His Presence. Before Jesus ascended, He charged His disciples in Matthew 28:1

In His Presence in the Present
Romans 8:38-39 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. John Wu brought an anointed message this past Sunday, using Romans 8:38-39 as his main text. Looking at all that is listed -- death, life, angels, rulers, things present, things to come, principalities, height,

The Ever-Presence of God
Psalm 16:11 You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. What are areas of my life that could be changed by experiencing and living in God's presence? That was the question Alan ended with in his sermon this past Sunday.. that is the question that we need to think on every day and in every circumstances and for every decision. In our own pride, we think we can run away from the presence of God

In His Goodness through His Provision, His Presence and His Redemption
If you missed this past Sunday's sermon, you need to watch it. And even if you were at the service, you need to watch it again. Our speaker, Kathryn Chen, packed 30 minutes with so many beautiful morsels of tasty spiritual food, it's worth your time to listen or watch it again. She used the story of Elijah, David, and Paul and Silas to nail the point that God's goodness is real, especially in the midst of difficulties. In I Kings 17, God instructed Elijah to go Eastward and h

Pursued by God's Goodness & Mercy
Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever... What a beautiful way for David to end Psalm 23! He started the psalm with The LORD is my Shepherd, I shall not want... And he closes the psalm with absolute confidence and assurance that God pursues him -- at all times, in all seasons of your life and through all circumstances! In one of the commentaries, this was the more complete explanation: ·

On Goodness
This past Sunday, Pastor Luke Yang continued with this month's theme of In His Goodness by looking at Psalm 100:5 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. and Genesis 1. Throughout Creation, God uttered the sentence: It was good... Each aspect of creation exhibited God's character of His goodness. From the very first chapter of the Bible, the foretelling of His love, grace and goodness in providing Salvation was already depi

In His Goodness
Psalm 100:4-5 This past Sunday, Alan started the month of July with a message on How God's Goodness Affect Our Lives! Here were his four points: In His Goodness, He protects us. In His Goodness, He is patient with us. In His Goodness, He guides us. In His Goodness, He provides for us. In His Goodness, God gave us commands. These are not to limit our freedom, but they are like guardrails. His commandments protects us. Alan went on to talk about Matthew 7:14-15, contrasting the

From A Breath to True Revival
Ezra 9:5-9 5 And at the evening sacrifice I rose from my fasting, with my garment and my cloak torn, and fell upon my knees and spread out my hands to the Lord my God, 6 saying: “O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift my face to you, my God, for our iniquities have risen higher than our heads, and our guilt has mounted up to the heavens. 7 From the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt. And for our iniquities we, our kings, and our priests have been gi

31:3 Retreat
In case you didn't know... we didn't have our usual 4pm service this past Sunday... that's because we had the service at the Cozy Camp Ground in Southern Miaoli. Michael Go led us in two songs of worship. The second song was, Here I Bow. The chorus says, "So here I bow, to lift You high, Jesus, be glorified, in all things, for all my life, I am Yours, forever Yours." These words described the cry of my heart in response to the everlasting love and unfailing kindness of God.

The Super Spectacular Love of God

In His Love -- God Removes Shame
Kathryn started the month of June with a Spirit-led, Spirit-inspired, message focusing on the Biblical passages from Isaiah 54:1-5 and Isaiah 61:7. 4 “Fear not, for you will not be ashamed; be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. 5 For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole ea

Living In His Favor
It's hard to believe that it's already June... Our theme for the month of June is In His Love... but I just wanted to go back and recap and remind us to live in God's favor. Just because the month of May has ended, God's favor has not... He continues to lavish us with His favor... He continues to make His face to shine upon us. He continues to pour forth His grace and mercy and protection. And I pray that we will continue to grow! I was gone for most of May... and hence, I di

Faith, Love, Hope & Joy
3 Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant and boundless mercy has caused u

He Is Risen
Resurrection Sunday was just a few days ago... In fact, this year it was celebrated with a four day weekend! What a blessing... But now, we are back to our 'routine'? And yet, as I reflect upon the events after the resurrection, I think we can never 'go back to our routine'! Resurrection LIVING is a daily choice... just as Christ is our LIVING HOPE! I want to quote Eugene H. Peterson's book, Living The Resurrection: "Our four Gospel writers all complete their narrations of th

Trust in God’s Precision Timing: Part VII
March 15, 2026 It’s Sunday and Pastor Luke brought another great message from the same passage: Exodus 12:40-42. So, let us continue to consider the beauty of this passage! Part VII: The Bible mentions Pharaoh's heart hardening 15 times. Sometimes it was himself. Sometimes it was God making him hard. Exodus 14:4 says: "I will harden Pharaoh's heart... I will gain glory." God even uses human hardness to accomplish His plan. Finally, the Egyptians urged them to go. Yesterday th
