Trust in God’s Precision Timing: Part VI

March 14, 2026

It’s been almost a week since this message on Waiting Upon God’s Timing was shared. How has the LORD used this talk to sustain and grow you as you trust in His Truth? Read on to Part VI to see the Peak of God’s Redemption Timing

Exodus 12:12: "On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord."

We often treat the ten plagues as ten disaster stories, but for the Egyptians at that time, those were not just disasters—it was the collapse of their entire theocratic system. Egypt was a highly religious country. The Nile River was a god. Frogs were gods. Cattle were gods. The sun was a god, and even Pharaoh was regarded as the son of god. The entire country was built upon polytheistic beliefs. However, God clearly declared in Exodus 12:12: "I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt."

The first plague inflicted was that the Nile turned into blood. The river originally symbolized life and supply instantly became a river of death. God was declaring: Life is not in the hands of the Nile god Hapi, but in My hands.

The ninth plague was darkness for three days. The sun god Ra was obscured, and the entire cosmic order seemed to come to a standstill. God was declaring: Light does not belong to the sun god; light belongs to Me.

The tenth plague was the death of the firstborn. Pharaoh was revered as the son of god, and the firstborn symbolized the continuation of kingship and divinity. When the firstborn fell, the entire theocratic system completely disintegrated.

That night, it was not Moses prevailing over Pharaoh, but Yahweh prevailing over idols. On the same night, Egypt wailed in judgment, while Israel was preserved under the covering of blood. Blood became the dividing line. Moreover, the Bible particularly emphasizes—that night the 430 years were perfectly and completely fulfilled. The tenth plague arrived, at midnight, and all the firstborn of Egypt died. The whole country wailed loudly. But in the land of Goshen, in those homes where blood was applied to the doorframes, God said: "When I see the blood, I will pass over you." Isn’t this the Gospel through the cross and suffering of Jesus? It is not because the Israelites were better than the Egyptians, but because there was blood covering them. Today we can avoid eternal judgment, and it is also not because we are worthy, but because of the precious blood of Jesus. In Egypt, God brought down the gods; on the cross, Jesus brought down sin and death. Blood became the dividing line. Judgment and salvation were separated on that night. This is God's precision redemption.

Praise be to the God Almighty if today your life is covered by the blood of the Lamb, our risen Savior! Hallelujah! Yes… there’s more… Part VII… Tomorrow! Let us wait with expectancy upon our LORD!
