31:3 Retreat

In case you didn't know... we didn't have our usual 4pm service this past Sunday... that's because we had the service at the Cozy Camp Ground in Southern Miaoli.

Michael Go led us in two songs of worship. The second song was, Here I Bow. The chorus says, "So here I bow, to lift You high, Jesus, be glorified, in all things, for all my life, I am Yours, forever Yours."

These words described the cry of my heart in response to the everlasting love and unfailing kindness of God.

Jeremiah 31:3 says, The Lord appeared to me from ages past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you and continued My faithfulness to you."

Jeremiah wrote this long ago... but how beautiful it is as we consider the love of God in giving us His Son, Jesus. Jeremiah was known as the weeping prophet as he was deeply grieved over the sins of his people... He was also grieved about the impending destruction of Jerusalem. Yet, the LORD, the Almighty God, appeared to him from ages past... affirming His love and kindness... His faithfulness and goodness...

In whatever season you might be in, KNOW that the LORD is speaking, singing, these truths over your heart.

Personally, I felt so refreshed as I contemplated on this verse and spent time with my brothers and sisters in Christ. To close this post, here are a few pictures:
