1. In Exodus 12:41, the Israelites left Egypt exactly after 430 years.

What does this show about God’s control over time, especially when we feel like God is slow to answer our prayers?

2. The sermon described how the family line leading to Israel’s history was full of brokenness, failure, and sin. How does this encourage you when you look at your own past or family history?

3. Exodus 1:12 says that the Israel multiplied greatly during oppression in Egypt.

Can you share a time when a difficult season in your life actually produced spiritual growth or unexpected blessing?

4. The land of Goshen was protected during the plagues even though it was still in Egypt. What does this teach you about God’s protection during difficult or chaotic seasons?

5. Exodus 2:23–25 tells us that God heard, remembered, saw, and knew the suffering of His people. Which of these verbs speaks most to you when you are going through hardship?

If time permits, please discuss the following questions:

The sermon emphasized that redemption changes identity—from slaves to the Lord’s army. In what ways do Christians today sometimes still live with a “slave mentality” instead of their new identity in Christ?

Galatians 4:4 says, “When the fullness of time had come, God sent His Son.” Why do you think God often works through long periods of waiting before fulfilling His promises?

The final goal of redemption is God dwelling with His people (Exodus 40:34; 1 Corinthians 3:16).

How does knowing that God’s Spirit lives in you change the way you live your daily life?
